Awards & Grants

The WONCA 2021 Grant is designed to give family physicians and general practitioners from developing countries financial assistance so that they can join in the world family doctors’ festival, the 23^rd WONCA World Conference of Family Doctors.

Selected nominees will receive free registration to WONCA 2021.

1. 1. Apply for the Grant when you submit abstracts online.
   2. The applicant must submit the following items to the conference secretariat at registration@wonca2021.com.
      • Motivation letter (max. 200 words; including brief statement of your financial need for the grant)
      • Copy of Passport
      • Letter of recommendation from the country’s family/general practice organization (if one exists).
   3. The Organizing Committee will review the application and supporting documents.
   4. Winners will be notified by the congress secretariat.

The organizing committee of the 23^rd WONCA World Conference of Family Doctors is pleased to support and promote the continued development of family medicine by handing exceptional research with oral and poster presentation awards.

Apply for consideration of an award for the best oral or poster presentation by an emerging researcher from a low or middle income country (LMIC). Awards of $5000 (USD) for the best oral presentation, and $2000 (USD) for the best poster presentation, are being generously provided by Dr Sadok Besrour from the Besrour Centre for Global Family Medicine at the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
