I have already registered for WONCA 2021 in Abu Dhabi, will my registration be transferred to WONCA 2021 Virtual?
All current registrants have been automatically registered for the 2021 virtual conference. Registration will include full access to content for up to 30 days.
Can I transfer my registration to someone else?
You may transfer your registration to someone else if a written request with the replacement person’s name is received by or before 25th October, 2021.

Can I cancel my registration?
Cancellation policy for delegates who registered for WONCA 2021 in Abu Dhabi:
- Until 30th June: Registration fees will be fully refunded.
- After 30th June: As per cancellation policy, fees will not be refunded.
Cancellation policy for new registrations (WONCA 2021 Virtual):
- Until 25th October: Registration fees will be refunded less USD 75 refund processing charge
- After 25th October: as per cancellation policy, fees will not be refunded
- Cancellation requests must be received in writing by email to email@example.com
I am part of a group and someone else has booked my registration, how should I proceed?
All group registrants have been automatically registered for the 2021 virtual conference. Registration will include full access to content for up to 1 month.
What will WONCA 2021 Virtual offer?
WONCA 2021 virtual conference will include access to scientific sessions lead by renowned experts, e-poster presentations and industry symposiums. All presentations will be available on-demand for up to 30 days after the conference. The virtual conference will also provide networking opportunities with your peers and colleagues along with access to the virtual industry exhibition.
If my abstract gets accepted as a poster, how do I present it?
Accepted posters will be placed in e-poster sessions. You will receive all required information on the schedule and guidelines timely from our program management team.
How will I be able to give my presentation or chair a session?
You will be able to give your presentation and/or chair a session from the comfort of your home or office. Please make sure to arrange:
- A computer with stable internet connection
- A microphone with good quality
- Latest version of Chrome (Browser)
- A quiet room
- PowerPoint slides (including a Title, Learning Objectives and Disclosure slides)
Most presentations will be pre-recorded. Our team of experts will schedule time to guide you through the process.
Do I need to register to participate as an abstract presenter?
Registration is required for all oral and poster presentations.
I have submitted an abstract for the physical WONCA 2021, what happens now?
You do not need to submit a new version of your abstract. Your submission will be transferred to be reviewed for the virtual conference.
Is the virtual conference accredited?
Yes, WONCA 2021 Virtual is seeking accreditation from EACCME. We will send an announcement as soon as accreditation is received.
I was invited to speak at WONCA 2021 Abu Dhabi, what will happen with my presentation?
You will receive all required information on the schedule and speaker guidelines timely from our program management team.
Can I request for a participation certificate as a presenter?
Yes, your certificate of participation will be sent to your registered email post the virtual conference.
When and how do I log-in to the platform?
You will receive instructions to access the platform via the email address you used to register one week before the virtual conference starts.
The platform will remain open 24/7 for delegates to access the content from all time zones.
Live sessions will take place on the three conference days between 2 PM – 6 PM (GMT+04). All live sessions will be available on-demand within 24 hrs after the virtual conference.
What are the technical requirements to attend the WONCA 2021 Virtual?
The virtual conference will be fully web-based. You will simply need a device with audio (desktop, laptop, tablet, phone) and a stable internet connection.
For best experience, we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome, but other browsers such as Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 11+ can also be used.
I have already booked my flight, can I get a refund?
Delegates are responsible for cancelling their flight ticket. Please contact your airline or travel agency for further details as each airline has its own policies regarding refunds and vouchers for future travels. WONCA is not responsible for any cancellation fees or penalties related to these transactions.
I have paid the registration fee for the WONCA 2021 in Abu Dhabi, what will happen when my registration is transferred to the virtual conference?
Those who have overpaid based on the new registration fees will be reimbursed for the difference. You will contacted to confirm the refund details latest by 15 July 2021.
I am a sponsor or exhibitor for the Conference. What changes can I expect?
The move to a virtual conference provides sponsors and exhibitors with unique opportunities to reach the family medicine community worldwide.
